Hi there.
My name is
Heidi-Liz.

I know that's not exactly a proper introduction or anything about me, but as anyone who knows me can attest, I don't have an original thought -- I'm always quoting something.  Maybe not the best way to introduce myself as I dive into the world of blogging, but I digress!

An Arizona native, I fell in love with singing at a young age and only discovered my love for acting in high school; once I realized I could put those two things together and make a career out of it, I knew I'd found my purpose and starting working toward my dream of performing on Broadway.  I'm still working on that, but after a decade of participating in community and regional theatre across AZ, I finally made a huge step in the right direction the summer of 2022: moving to NYC!  As of the spring of 2023, I've begun actively pursuing theatre "full-time", and I thank God every day, knowing that I am very fortunate even for the opportunity to chase my dreams.

Outside of theatre, I enjoy reading (I run the gambit of fiction, from magical high fantasy to dark-'n'-twisty psychological thrillers), gaming (favorites include Persona 5 Royal, Detroit: Become Human, and Stardew Valley), watching ALL the movies and ALL the shows with my darling husband, Mychal (just caught up on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia a couple weeks ago, about halfway through Mad Men, and last night, we watched Cars), and -- wouldn't you know it -- writing.  Writing has been another passion of mine ever since I could hold a pencil, and while I have a plethora of unfinished works, both on paper and in my head, I finished a YA fiction manuscript in the summer of 2020.  I'm hopeful that manuscript will find its way onto bookstore shelves one day, but for now, what better way to combine two of my favorite things than to start this blog and document the journey ahead?
